from what i understand they are the only good bit on the whole of a zd30.

another mates brother has a chipped gu (company car for promotions use so who cares if it goes bang:P) and it makes alot of power . holds rather large boost for a stock setup all the way to redline. and its far from slow.

thats probably one of the contribiting factors to why the zd30 blows up.
its a small engine that has to work hard to push around a heavy car.
anything smaller than a 6 is just wrong in a trol

yeh but thats designed for a heavy vehicle, not like the zd30 that was intended for the navara or whatever it was

that it. ZD30 it a highly stressed engine to get it to perform. there is no replacement for cubic displacement, this rule will always stand true.
