yep just put the key in and turn backwards ( you should hear a relay click )
wait 15 seconds then turn key forward until it starts.

If bj45's are the same as 42's and 73's then you turn the key forward on the spring just before start and hold it there for a few seconds

No worries. Mightymick questioned it that is all. He said it didnt appear to go back. Not all of them go back either. I was giving him the other option.
Cheers.

my 42 glows when in the "on" position.. the previous bj42 did this AS WELL as having a "wilson switch" allowing you to press a button to glow, press for 5 seconds then start.. is there a button around your dash area that fits this description?

Do you hear relays tripping when the key is in the "on" position? maybe some of these have gone.

I once fiddled with some wiring and knocked a connection off a relay on my firewall... i think it was related to starting/edic or glow.. cos I thought I could hear it glow and click, but it would crank forever and not catch.. this wire, once connected to the relay again would allow the engine to catch.. and start..

maybe this is your issue?
