Radiator outlet Question

Post by 6.5 rangie »

I'm getting a custopm Aluminium Radiator done and i have a small problem. The water pump outlet is 2 1/4" and the only ali raditor outlets you can get are 2" or 2.5".
Any ideas on what i can do?
They are going to put the 2" outlet on, so can i wrap something around it to make up the extra couple of mm (3mm) and use 2 clamps.

Damien I think we have some 60mm diameter tubing at work (Carrum Downs) so that is slightly over 2.25", it has a wall thickness of about 3mm from memory so you could turn it down on a lathe to get the required 2.25".

Thanks Andrew, Race Radiators are doing it and they have 60mm aswell, so may have to go for that option.
