Dtronic or DP chip.

Post by Chucky »

I have been asked to look into thye power upgrade units for a Prado diesel.
So far I have narrowed it down to a DP chip or a Safari Dtronic unit.
Has anyone used these and have good/ bad points on either unit.

So far the DP chip has a advantage in price by about $300

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

You can if you can then get enough air in. Most vehicles dont need to be, but have been thinking about doing it to a new hilux, then fitting a better turbo, it all depends on how far the electronics will et you go before going into limp mode.
