Hey all,
We are currently rebuilding our 80 series after a bit of a drink during the last floods.
We have got to the stage of replacing the valve stem seals and find that the packaging tells us one thing and the old parts are in opposite places. eg: the inlet seals look the same as the exhaust ones in the bag.
Is it possible that they were replaced incorrectly last time the engine was done or more likely the packaging is incorrect ??
One of them (packaged as exhaust) has a small lip on the bottom and the other (packaged as inlet) has no lip.
Hope to hear from someone Urgently as we havent got much time to put her all back together
