rusty_042 wrote:yeah i searched under filter in rover and it doesnt have alot of info
i found one thread asking for same thing but no pictures on it
im only asking as i dont have any filters in it at all atm
i know the drain thing at the bottem works good if its clean but how well does it work while submerged
The oe paper elements are preferred by most as the K&N tend to actually reduce airflow and get clogged easily. If the filter housing is submerged you will be on the end of a winch cable so sealing wont be a problem anymore
Saddle up tonto, its the not so loanrangie! . 98 TDI DISCO lightly modded with more to come.
fair enuf lol i can imagine that happenin to but still how well does that lil rubber nob work under water will it let water in ?
if yes what ha other ppl done to stop this
I have used a finer filter on one of the 3.5's with twin su's so they do exist. I wouldn't recommend them however. I have had two bad experiences with them.
yer it does seem to be the general answer to not use the k&n
i will see when i set it up as its not going on twin sus its going on to a single carb 5ltr with twin snorkels, so it will be running in the exact opposit way but i am still yet to even see what the filters look like ?
