Post by DaveS3 »

Asking for a mat with a 89 4.2 Petrol GQ......

Did this model come with a factory diff lock option???
He has a switch in his centre console that says diff lock...
Is this then centre diff or actual rear diff lock????
Being a LR owner i dont know this type of **** about nissans!!!

Cheers,

My shorty Mav has a factory rear Diff lock and it works just fine i havent had a problem at all with it and i give my car absolute hell, as bogged said has said have a look on the diff itself and on the RHS of the housing there should be a little Vacuum looking thingy and a solenoid with a few little wires hanging out, if it has that your cooking.Mav

the only drama with them is the vacuum solenoid on the left top of the firewall. i've broken one of the fittings off, and they are quite exxy. i want to convert it to a vacuum tap or something but i havnt quite worked out how it works yet. it seems that vacuum down one hose holds the lock out, and down the other hose, holds the lock in. maybe some one can confirm??
