hey all, just hooked in the new shockies into the old girl andi dont have hoops for this reason (daily driver).. So i opted for longer ones but to give lots of down travel but not as much up travel. Now because the shock is topping out b4 it runs out of flex on uptravel, im guessing a mod on the bumpstop would be the best idea to stop damage to the new shocks
Here are some pics to refer too, what would be the best way to stop the shock topping out on uptravel, ie extend bumpstops ect. if so what do you think would be the most appropriate way of doing so. Thanks
topping out

on mine i measured between the top of the spring and where the bump stop is supposed to hit the plate at the top, i measured my shock fully closed, worked out how much i needed to lift the bump stop to ensure that the bumpstop stops the shock just before it botoms out.
Easy
Cut a plate to fit under your u bolts, with a hold drilled in it to locate it, i used 5 mm plate for the bottom and 10 x 50 flat bar cut to the right length and used the factory bump stop welded on top..
Might not be the best way but cost me nothing and works well, looks good too.
