Running very rich

I changed my plugs today and they are normally very clean, I did do a run on petrol the other day and the plugs were sooted up. It was running too rich.
I took it to a servo and they put the exhaust analyser on it and the co2 read 7 instead if the .5 - 1 in specs.
6ths ago I fitted a c/o hot wire airflow meter, the adjusting screw on the side doesn't do anything it just spins. I presume these airflow meters can be adjusted or is something else causing it. Did I get a bad reco unit.
I haven't really used petrol for a while as I run LPG.
The temp sensor was replaced recently also.
Any Ideas?

Yep the key drive clock wise is rich and counter clock wise is lean , if it just spins then yes you got a bad deal ....sorry to hear it !
I have updated to the Haltec E6X and everything is done on the laptop , no air flow , no messy wiring , more power . Having said that im still trying to work out the rough idle till at operating temp .

The Haltec E6X is a fully programable computer system and comes with everything inc wiring harness the lot ! you unbolt your whole injection ecu-wiring harness-airflow meter -pertentiometer and throw them away ! this system plugs into the usb on your lap top and with the disc provided you simply adjust your settings to suit your requirements ! checkout the Haltec web site .They cost me $1545 complete and then i hada performance shop fit it up , took them 1 day and the increase was about 20% more power and about 65km more to the tank .
I mail ordered mine direct from Haltec in NSW from some guy called Oscar . I couldnt afford the Motec system so this was the next best set up .
