Xtreme "Team" Winch Challenge May 2008

Post by XTREME MMM »

Xtreme 4x4 Sport will be conducting a Team Winch Challenge in May at Rover Park, Tenterfield.

A 2 vehicle Team with both Teams on the SS at the same time will be run over 10 SS, starting on Friday night. Rules will be the same as the Xtreme Winch Challenge.

So choose your Team now and get in early. Entry fee to be confirmed.

More information as it becomes available.

Cheers

sounds real good if there is enough cars left in one piece from rocky after the OBC to make up the two car team, could swing by on the way home.

Have not forgotten any dates of other events, there are a lot of people that do not do OBC, and it is the only time that it will work for the Xtreme Events early in the year and it suits me. What more do you need?

I can say now it will be a serious and fun event. Do not expect a club style family outing.

It will be held the weekend after the May long weekend.

Just had a call regards parts and outside assistance.

As the Xtreme Rule book states if Team carries it, it will not be a penalty.

Now, we are talking about 2 vehicle in a Team, the same will apply, if the Team (2 vehicles) carry it and one of the vehicles in the said Team needs to use the part it will not be a penalty.

Cheers

Dave, is there actually going to be driving in this event for longer than a few hundred metres. I am very sure (first hand information from some big names) that a lot of people would be more interested if you had some longer stages where we actually got to drive our cars for more than 3 minutes.
There is no substitute for cubic inches.

I guess it depends what "big names" you talk to, remember its a "Winch Challenge" not a drive challenge.

Yes this is a "Winch Challenge" format.

If you are expecting a 10 km run, I am sorry, you may have to go and do the Australian Safari if you are after more of a high speed event with big distance, then a "Winch Challenge" format.

After coming back from the CQ Offroad Club teams event this weekend (more of that on their thread) it has given me even more ideas. The event will be a winch challenge not a snatch strap event. Teams will start side by side before the course narrows up and when they get to the first hill or bank there will be 2 exits (one for each team member), so by doing this it will appear that the 2 vehicles will be racing each other. Great for the spectator.

As for the big names:- I have spoken to several, and they are more then prepared to give it a go:- Claytons Racing, EFS Teams and by the sound of it the boys from ARB Tamworth, and I am quite sure that we will see all the big names there from the ARB XWC.

More on this later.

Cheers

Yes it will be quick & fun.

Don't forget Festa that you are already part of the EFS Team, you just have to sort out your partner in crime.

real insperational..BUT looked a bit funny too!!!! as the truck is only

youve got the big talk 286, we all know birdy & co are a brilliant team, & even better to drink with later, but why dont you come up to kick qld ass..
all are welcome, personaly we do it for the good times ( usually too much good times, followed by shot loads of berokers/panadol & a trip to the pannel shop the next day) i often find bad hangovers are followed by bad desisions
