Shackle Question

Post by danman. »

Would some one on here be able to answer this for me?

been thinking about my shackle operation.

in operation, do you want the bush to rotate around the metal insert? or do you want the metal insert to rotate around the bolt?

or both?

any comments would be appreciated. thanks.

you want the bolt to rotate inside the bush, the bushes stay fairly static

Just rubber grease everything when it goes together. You don't really get to choose and if you pull apart an old suzuki, you will usually find the bolt is frozen onto the sleeve and the sleeve turning in the bush.

Normally the bushes stay static in the spring eye.
