He's talking about a 2.8 hilux motor.

I'm 90% sure it'll bolt in without too many worries.

3L and 5L share same mounts, and the 5L is a better motor

Yes it will bolt straight in. You "may" need to modify the glow system slightly to get that working though. I only say may as i have not done the conversion in a Bundera but in a Hilux there is 2 different glow systems. The early LN65 had a normal glow system and needs to be modified slightly but the late model had what Toyota refer to as the Super Glow System which also has a manifold pre heater in it fitted under the intake manifold and this style needs no modifications at all to fit the 2.8.

Keep in mind the 2.8 may have a different sump as these were never fitted to the Bundera. But the 2.4 sump will fit it.

You could even run the complete Turbo and Manifolds from the 2L on the 3L if you wanted. Then you will have even less mods to do. Just keep an eye on the temperature with the turbo fitted as the 2.8 cracks heads easy if overheated.

I'll tell you how simple it..

2L out, 3L in. Should be same bolt holes.

Yeah if you use the 2LT manifolds then you wont have any issues with the Glow system either.

I almost put a 2.8 in my LJ70.

Found out some models have different engine mount holes, this is also the same with 5L.

Anyway, no hassle to make new mounts.
