buying a hilux

Post by chunderlicious »

hey guys, looking at a 2.4 diesel 1984 lux tomorrow, wondering if there is anything in particular to look out for, dont care about the mechanical shit. just other little things that you have found on your rigs.

i know a few of the rust spots (heater well under dash under windscreen corners. window sills. etc.

anything else that goes wrong?

yeah, ended up buying it..... a shitter little 2.4 diesel, standard as all hell (ive got all the suspension i could ever want) with the least amount of rust ive ever seen in a hilux

i need a turbo if someone wants to give me one :D and im also after an ifs steering box nice and cheap aswell.

plan is to run it at the highest boost/fuel mix (highest best mixture) for aslong as it can then ill dump in a 1uz or a 1jz

oh i got it for $1700 with 290Ks on it.
