i bought an adapter from Rovercentre in Skye, Vic. It adapts the t700 to a machined off LT95 t/case, the same as the conversions Ritters did with the T400/C4-9. I have the same convesion in my 6.5 chev diesel Rangie. Good conversion. I think its better than the Marks 4L60E one as you don't have to cut the output shaft on the auto, so if your auto stuffs up you can just change it over. Although the front drive shaft does get close to the T700 pan, but you just shave the pan a little.
I suggest you taper roller the trans case though, for info on that speak to Cloughy, he may be able to help.

I run 4.4 P76 to C4 to Lt95 at the moment
I would like to keep lt95 its a ritters C4 convert
but had 2 ideas
1; LS1 , T400, if possible LT95
2; LS1 ,Dellow bell housing to C4 , Ritters to LT95 which I run now
how much would a T400 to Lt95 be if availible through Rovercentre
do you have a Number for them
Thanks again Damien

Rovercentre only did the T700 conversion.
You could just get a cehv adapter to a normal c4 bellhousing, the c4 can be built pretty strong.
Don't have Rover centres number, but they are on Bollarto Rd, Skye, Vic if that helps.
Have a search on here, pretty sure the number has been posted before.

Hi Eyby,
Sounds a bit like mine.
350 Chev, adaptor plate from Chev to LT 95 bell, Ritter bellhousing, C9, Ritter adaptor, LT 95 TC. Custom torque convertor from Autoflite to go between Chev and C9. Stock transmission mounts and propshafts.
Might sound a bit complicated, but it's just like using two adaptors between the Chev and C9. Goes unreal, and crawls really well.

Dont know what youre budget is but I'm doing two at the moment with 4l80e transmissions (heavy duty US trans to replace 4L60e). Using the 4wd version means no cutting of the output shaft and the Marks adapter. These are going into Patrols, but making mounts and stuff is the easy bit. There are block hugger manifold available, but the drivers side dosent fit and requires remaking. The 4L80e is rated at 440 LBS input shaft torque the 4l60e is about 300.
