Custom Removable Hard Top

Post by cjdeane10 »

Just wondering if anyone has made thier own hard top?

I am talking about the front piece (above the driver) not the rest of the hardtop. (if anyone has done a custom one of the back section, some pics would be great!)

my plan is to make a wooden mock up, and then make a steel frame/checkerplate top. Maybe even mount a couple of spotties up there as well.

1. Has anyone done this before?
2. Have you got any photo's of their custom hard top (removable front section)?

The orange zook has an aluminium chequer plate top. It used to belong to Havoc customs.
The black trayback with exo has a Suzuki plastic top.(no he won't sell it) it belongs to midnight. contact either of them and they might be able to provide better pics.

Here is mine checkerplate lid which is riveted on and sealed with sikaflex and silicone. Suzuki-boy's is very similar, made by Kym from my club.
