hilux brakes

Post by Lux_89 »

hey guys.. how are we all? Basically i went for a play on the weekend in some clay down the road, and now my brakes are up the sh*t. The things thats not normal is that my handbrake, usually the one to stuff up is working beautifully, but my foot brake isnt. I can push with 2 feet really hard and barely slow down. It dosent go to the floor, got its normal amount of movement but yeh just got bugger all brakes? Got me stumped, can any one help? Cheers, Chris

does the backing plate to ur brake drum still have the little grommets in the holes? A lot of the time there missing, even if they are in there, crap can stil get in there and gum up ur shoes. Only takes a few minutes to rip the wheel and drum off to have a look. Thats where id start if u stil have plenty of fluid etc

Check that your vacum booster is working properly, and that the vacum line is still attached and leak free.
