Alpine Challenge 2007

Post by philhod »

Is anyone going up to the Alpine Challenge near Dinner Plain this year.? We made the journey last year and had a great time and are coming back for more.

Just booked the Omeo Hilltop Pub again. It is about a 20 minute drive from the event and at $35 per person a night including a cooked breakfast you can't go wrong There is 11 of us making the jouney this year so should prove to be a great weekend.

So who else is heading up there???

Sounds good BigCam. For $35 bucks a night at the pub including cooked breakfast you can't go wrong.

See you there.

I drove into the event last year in the Girlfriends BA Falcon. Was a company car though so I just gave it a bigger run up than what you would normally do :D Taking the Patrol this year.

On the Sunday though the event was up the hill a few kilometres from where it was on the Saturday. The Falcon couldn't get up there because of the lack of clearance going over the spoon drains. We just grabbed a ride in the back of a 80 series Ute.

Your All Terains will be fine. I'm betting you won't even need 4WD just more ground clearance than a standard CAR.
