I've got some pretty detailed plans in pdf format from a motorbike chopper forum in the states on a simplified JD2 bender and also a tube notcher if you're interested. Send me a pm and your email addy and I'll send you a copy if you like.

Hey guys any chance of getting a copy of the bender plans. Also what kind of cost is involved in materials and fabrication in comparison to buying one.

ok getting back to my original design...
does any one think it will actualy work????
im thinkig it can be made cheep and pretty simple 2 person operation...
the only 2 issues i can see is...
1 on the top of the 2 pivit points.. they will want to push apart??? so a pretty simple locking plate (50x10mm plate with 2 holes to suit the pivit pins?? that make sence??

2 mounting it... im thinking the actual base made from 10mm plate with some 100x100x3 rhs, apox 1200 long on to another plate and dinabolted down??

ok whats peoples thoughts???
