I just can't find the threads for this, so here's the question. I have found some solid Hilux axles, just toyota truck axles here in the US and was wondering what is involved in swapping axles on a feroza. Is it worth it? If there is a thread on this please let me know.

Here's my take on it, if its part of a project then a Hilux ( or there abouts ) rear is a good conversion - but only if you plan on fixing all the other Feroza issues. What size wheels, what about gearing etc etc.
And of course the axles may be cheap but if you want to keep high numerical diff ratios ( and with a Feroza transfer that's important ) then crownwheels and pinions are going to cost big bucks. Lockers aren't too expensive if you go mechanical but many argue ( correctly IMO ) that an air locker in the front is the best and they arn't cheap.
So IMO - its not worth doing on its own - as part of a total rebuild is a sensible way to go.
Without being a traitor..... there are many easier conversions, with off the shelf parts readily available - but some of us are just too plain stupid to ever give up.

so in your opinion, do front & back diff and transfer case if you are doing any swapping at all. I see your point.

If you are staying IFS then at the moment there arn't any simple front diff changes available, which means you need a 5.285:1 rear ratio.
I am using a HiAce banjo with a late hilux centre, ARB air locker and aftermarket 5.285 crownwheel and pinion. You need to move the spring seats, get new U bolts, modify the shock bottom mount, modify handbrake cable, modify brake lines etc etc - its not bolt in by a big margin.
Oh and another thing if its not a wide track then the rear axle is too wide and so you would have to narrow it or widen the front end to match and fit widetrack flares - about 7" minimum is required.
This is a case of is actually better to widen a narrow track than to buy a widetrack as you get more front suspension travel.
Tailshaft will need to be shortened and adapted to the toyota pinion flange.
You need to think about wheel stud pattern, HiAce and HiLux are both wrong and so you either need custom axles or a rework of existing. HiAce is a better bet for a rework as they are five stud and so the new holes and old wont clash.
As for transmission.... nothing is easy. I have an AW4 auto and a Vitara transfer case ( with crawler gears ) but that was a significant job - took months.
IF its your daily driver then think very carefully its a huge job - and not cheap. If its a weekend warrior its still going to take months and present many challenges.
I can help by "remote control" but your still going to need access to a full workshop and have some machining done etc etc.
As I said earlier there are other vehicles that are easier to modify.

kent did this, but he did a full driveline swap from a toyota hilux. took a bit of work but he said he loved the result.
