Rear diff breather

Post by M1S3RY »

So i was extending the air lines on the rear diff and i noticed that where the line goes into the cross member, on the other side is another point where you could attach more hosing.

Sorry for the bad picture. Are the two points connected? Or is the breather line just into the open ended cross member? Thus really defeating te point of the breather when it's not really that high..

I was pretty sure that Franks article suggested the best way to get better breathing, was to run the lines all the way up to the engine bay and mount them high on the firewall.

I totally agree with that, but i want to know if the two points were connected so it was easier for me to do that later rather than finding something to join the two hoses with, might have a closer inspection today..

I have used the rear nipple to connect my breather to. The ends of the tube are sealed and i could not find any other holes in it.
The breather is clipped into the brake line carrier that runs down the passenger side of the vehicle and then ends high up in engine bay.
