I bought a pair of Bilsteins for the Feroza for under $400, which leaves $1000 for the pair of leaf springs and bushes (possibly they come with new U bolts too??)
What sort of lift did you get with them Paul, and what's the ride like? They only say "between 25-50mm lift" in the front part of their cattledog.

I priced some springs at tjm a few months ago they were about the same price, but i had to pay for freight to Tasmania and they wouldnt tell me the cost to get them here,
and they were a pain in the ass to deal with,
kept saying with a laugh, you want new springs for a daihatsu rocky

I've had King springs fitted to the front of the Rocky for a couple of years now and would recommend them.
The end of each leaf is nicely rounded and the workmanship is great.
The ride is so much softer than the original ones.
I don't know how they do it considering the King front springs have 6 leaves compared to the original 3 leaves.
Maybe the old springs were just bottoming out all the time.

Lovells actually make the "Series 2000" springs, etc. for TJM...AND, last time I checked with them, they were MORE expensive than TJM!!! They also wouldn't go past 50mm lift 8-(
There are a number of other options available, but Mike H (Congratulations on the little fella!!!) is prolly better versed on that than I am.
If you're after a CHEAP lift with good travel, then the BEST thing you can do is go to a wrecker where you can take your own tools and get what you want straight off the vehicles they have there. I believe Toyota Hiace springs go straight on a Feroza...the idea is basically to find something that is LONGER than the original Feroza springs, but the same width.
There are also a number of other places that can make custom springs for a SH!T load cheaper than the likes of TJM, Lovells, etc. All I can say is don't believe the marketing w@nkers' bullsh!t about having to deal with a big outfit...I have ALWAYS found the smaller dudes better to deal with!!! And if you're NOT happy with the job you have paid for, remember there is plenty of consumer protection law to look after you.....
I gotta stop writin' these things after ebin' on the grog **-)

Must be off the back of a truck then! I bought some Kings a number of years ago (probably ten) and they were around $250 a pair for coils. Even the cheapies at the time were over $150 a pair.

First, my Lovell leaf springs are 7 pack and are on the firmer side. I can't compare with standard as they were on the car when I bought it. When I dropped in to Lovells at Parramatta last week to price up new bushes the guy informed me that they gave me a lift of about 50mm with standard shackles.
What I can say is that they were a lot harsher before fitting the extended shackles I got from Mike H. It seems that with the change in angle from the standard shackles to the extended ones that there's more movement softening the ride.
Just to give you an idea on what these auto parts people make on this kind of stuff... 3 years ago I got a set of 4 lowered king coil sprigs and 4 monroe sensatrak shocks and all the new ball joints and bushes for the steering of my old falcon. I got them at cost through my brother in law who was working for repco at the time. Total cost... $450.00. there's a pretty big mark up on this kind of stuff....
