75 series u bolt flip kits

I am looking around for a u bolt flip kit for my cruiser - the standard setup just gets hung up in mud all the time.
I know snake racing does a kit and superior do a bolt on kit for the rear only - anybody else?
The Micheles Sacks troopy had it done (the write up is in one of the 4wd monthlies from about a year or so back) but I dont have the mag handy to see where it was done.
Anybody done this on their 75? Comments good or bad?

i used a set of modified mounting plates that brings the bolt ends up beside the spring packs. I got them from superior for about the same as a flip kit. I'm not really convinced about the capacity of a flip kit to properly locate the axle. I was regularly pretzeling my bolts but since then i've not done one.

Superior do a kit for the front but they suggest that you use shock hoops so that you will still have the full travel of your shock, cause the problem is that the shock is attached to the u-bolt plate so you have to weld shock brackets to the back of your diff housing.
Correct me if iam wrong cause iam no expert on this but you will lose 1-2"inch down travel in your shock by moving it up if that makes sence.

But superior do have a new design and kit have a look hope i didnt confuse you mate somebody maybe able to explain it a bit better then me but hears the link for the new kit...

that man a fre is the go. Much better engineering solution.

while i havn't had any real dramas with my superior plates, they have two main drawbacks

1. the ubolts on the front have to be splayed out makes them a pain to get in the holes.

2. the loading on the side plates from u-bolts being 5-10mm out from the side of the spring pack puts leverage moment on them. So if you torque up the nuts like you are supposed to you can see them flexing as well as putting a lot of stress on the welded gussets under them. If those gussets were to fail and crack it could be catastrophic at speed. (i.e. axles moving longitudinally along the spring)

Mate when u say your getting hung up on them, hows your truck set up?
What size tyres u running what spring lift body lift etc?

Currently running 35s.
Also got a 2 inch body lift and (crap) OME 2" spring lift that is being replaced by 3" EFS soon.

It is the big ugly factory plate that just seems to bite into the hump between the ruts in mud.

The Man a fre looks good. Will have to look into that a bit more.
