just wondering i just recently bought my ferozsa and this saite has been a godsend.
ive read on here that 30" tyres cant fit under a stock feroza ?
so how do i know if mine is stock or not considering it has 30" tyres on it
the shocks at the rear look like they have been changed.
from what i can tell on it is written

It appears to be standard height. The rear spring is reasonably flat (actually could be ready for a change), and the front seems to be stock shocks.

Going by your rear shockers it's a post '93 model- but what year is it exactly? You've only got two leafs in your rear springs, I know the later models had less, but I'm sure mine's got at least four (?)
The shackles look to be standard length.
I thought I read on WARFS that 30" tyres are supposed to fit with no lift? It would also depend on the width and brand of tyres as they're not all the same.
Have you got any side on pics of the whole vehicle?

Yes, very nice. I like your spare wheel cover- my vinyl one's looking pretty sad.
Have a look underneath the side of your Feroza (under the door) and you'll see where the body bolts onto the chassis. There are normally rubber spacers in between that are around 20mm roughly in height. If yours are higher then it's been lifted.

I'll attach a pic of mine (I'm one of only a few on here with stock suspension ) for a comparison. I haven't got a side shot unfortunately, but my tyres are only 235/70R15 (~ 28").

Just off topic a bit, but what I have donbe to the spare wheel was to turn the mounting upside down. I found this gave better vision out the rear, brings the weight lower a bit, and find its easier to remove the spare cause it sits at an ange and can be held in place.

i dont think diahatsu came out with a 1 leaf + overload leaf id say the previous owner has taken leaves out lookin for more flex
i would put more leaves in it or u will fark the springs very quickly
btw i run diahatsu leaves in the rear of my zook i only took 1 leaf out to make it a 3 leaf pack +overload leaf

I was wondering that myself as the clamp (or whatever it's called) has been opened too.
Come on- some one else with a late model wide track go out and have a look under the back for jabboo and tell us how many leaves are normal...

Yeah funny thing happened to me yesterday... with all this talk of leaf springs I had a look under my rig... Stock shocks front and back... and with the lift the thing has its a wonder they're still in one piece!!! Now looking at buying some ranchos or the like.
I noticed that Croz's 94 widetrack rig only has the 2 leaves also. I personally have Lovells 7 leaf packs in the rear and the comfort is quite good now that the extended shacles are on.
I'm also going to open the clamps on mine for a bit more flex and would imagine that the ride will soften up also. Will keep yu posted on that.

Later model Ferozas do indeed only have ONE leaf + a helper...pretty crap for carrying loads, but with half decent shocks and extended shackles, they give acceptable articulation...in fact better than some of the very expensive aftermarket kits. Remember that big spring lift DOESN'T necessarily mean good articulation!
As for fitting 30"s, they should fit no worries with stock suspension and wheels, paticularly if you wind up the torsion bars a tad. HOWEVER, once I went to 15 x 8 wheels, I had to remove my front mudflaps (useless b@rstards anyway!), or they rub at about 50% lock.
The other thing I found was that the likes of Monroe, Pedders, etc. shocks DON'T give as much trvel as stock shocks...better to turf 'em and get some proper long-travel units.

The Bilsteins I got for mine are actually at least 1" longer extended than my old factory shocks (in the rear). They weren't a special order or anything either- might be a case of you get what you pay for.
