Toying with the idea of tidying up a spare head that I have.
Basically cause enough grunt never is :D But more low down would be good.

Specs are Gq TD42 with Mitsubishi Td05 turbo,600 x 300 x75 FMIC, standard pump., 3inch mandrel exhaust, running 35s.

Looking for ideas on cost, results, who, where and what works best.

One of my support crew has just had a head done for his truck and with some minor porting they got 28% better flow. Quite suprising as there is very little done. Basically they tidied it up. ie they didn't increase the volume very much at all. The basic port size is still the same just taken restrictions out. They did have flow bench etc the results are acurate.

I have an old head that I am going to cut up and see how far it will go. It can be a very precise art, which can also cause troubles if you do too much. Find someone with a flow bench and get them to do it.

Port jobs on these are of some help but i dont think it is the best thing you can do with them. As a package a cleanup along with good valve springs and attention to the cooling side of things works well.
