Wanting to increase the preload in my LSD.
Can anyone recommend a preload spec for my GU 4.11 running 35 pede's?

LSD preload spec.
When i set mine up, i was a bit conservitive and with a .5mm shim i ended up with 150nm up from a fairly worn (320,000ks) 85nm before.
i would check what you have now and then work up from there, 150nm works good with 33s and bitumen work, but for a car that runs simex 35s full time , maybe 200nm would be a good starting point try a .75mm shim.

A few more tips for the job.
You need to copy a lsd plate, including the "ears",
if you dont include these it wont sit right , it is tricky to cut material this thin , be carefull !! i used a holesaw for the middle hole and then cut the outside with a thin cutting disk on the angle grinder. I bought some steel shim plate from a bearing supplies for the job. To test the preload, i cut the end off of a coulpe of old axles and welded a plate to one (to clamp onto bench) and an old socket to the other (to attach torque wrench).
