DOBINSON VS EFS SPRINGS

Gday. About to lift my 80 series by 4-5 inches. Had lifted my old 80 series with efs springs and pro comp shocks with excellent results. Just the right amount of softness in the springs for down travel off road but not too much to overly affect road ride. Have now found a well priced lift set up at http://www.4x4accessories.com.au/shop/i ... cPath=5_12

This set up uses Dobinson springs. Just wondering how they go for off road articulation. Don't care about load carrying as I never carry heavy loads.

Dobinsons are widely known (where I am) for their off road ability/flex. I'm biased cause I sell Dobbinsons products. I've used them over the years, with different 4B's, and found them to be a good make for their intended purpose. Too many people buy springs for 'everyday' use, then wonder why the ass fell out of them when they loaded the hell out of the 4WD and headed out across the desert.
I believe EFS have a decent product aswell.....but I've never used 'em.

I too have only herd good reports on EFS (but havnt used them as yet)
But I have used dobinsons on many ocasions in diferent aplications,& they didnt fail me, in one of my GQs & GUs, used for standard to hard 4x4ing, touring, & towing campertrailer we used a combo of dobins 4" no load in front
& 4" load carring in rear,also used pro-comps mated to these,as they are a soft shock,that performed & lasted extremly well...BE AWARE!!!!! dont be
shocked when you fit your 4" lift, & find you end up with 5"plus..as they expect them to settle.mine usually only settled to about 4 1/2"

we use efs in our patrol, it weighs in at 2900 kq's with 4" springs they are 2 years old and have sagged 1mm -2mm i recomend them to any one,there extreme shocks are also good
