Yeah a guy at work has a set of 35" pedes that he wants to get rid of with 90% tread. Problem is they're a 16" tyre and the rims are 100 series rims so they are 5 stud.
you nearly expect to see a sticker on the side saying
MALAYASIAN RAINFOREST CHALLENGE (MEDIA) & about 4 jernos hanging out of her with that look!!!
geting better, geting bigger
Best to spend the money on the gears before the treads.
Borrowed a mates 35's a couple of years back and put them on the shorty..........yes they look cool and you sound like a small aircraft at high speed but it is shiiiiit offroad if you are playing semi serious. Runs away downhill and uphill you have to hit stuff a lot harder (ie.. $$$$ breakages) to keep momentum and revs.
The gears are awesome (at times a little too good) and the control through the slow stuff pays for the outlay in parts before you know it.
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading
Excellent words of wisdom there, I have recently fitted 35s and havent touched the gears or taken the car offroad. I have lifted the body and the suspension. My thoughts are now to go down to 33s and remove the body lift and avoid having to mod the gears/gear leavers/engineers certificate.
