BEST BUSHES
BEST BUSHES
i just got a set of ne dropped radius arms and was wondering what people thought would be the best bushes to put in for lot of flex
All GQ front bushes are solid, some GU bushes are slotted and some are solid. There are 3 different part numbers. I would run GQ or GU solids as they dont tear like the slotteds and I have run both and dont think the gain of travel is worth the lowwer life span of the slotted bushes as they are not cheap
Re: BEST BUSHES
Here's the part number for the genuine nissan slotted bushes. N/54560 VB012poppeye wrote:i just got a set of ne dropped radius arms and was wondering what people thought would be the best bushes to put in for lot of flex
There about $50 each. My first set lasted 3 years and are now in my mates patrol still in my old arms. I've just bought another set for my new arms.
These are the best in my opinion.

Haultech SLotted bushes provide a great deal more flex than the Nissan bushes ever will, downside is they wear out quite fast.
there is a pic on my website with my front end twisted up a bit, has 3" heavy coils in the front but articulation is still quite a bit more than factory bushes, running 3" Radius arms also....

been using poly ones with steel sleeve in the centre, after wearing out 3 factory GU sets in under 50,000km, they flex well, bind less, and have done 25000km going fine, inc Googs track, Canning, Simpson, Tanami trips, and Flinders ranges trip recently since fitted.
All the travel of the front shocks on mine seems to destroy the factory units.
