Extended Shackles

Post by Mudzuki »

Are extended shackles legal in Victoria? Also, what is your opinion on drop shackles? Would my money be better spent on lifted springs?

Replace springs with railway track. Weld directly to chassis (SPOA for more flex)

ADR's do not allow them!

3.5.4.11 Changes to ride height are limited to one third of the working travel of the suspension from kerb mass height to metal to metal bump or rebound positions as specified by the manufacturer. Such modifications must comply with the following:
- altered spring free lengths are acceptable
providing the spring seat load is maintained at full
rebound and material stresses are not exceeded;
the use of extended spring shackle plates is not
permitted.

are you sure it's an adr? if it is where abouts are you drawing your information from. Online or printed version?

reason I ask is I have been hunting a digital copy of the ADR for a project i am working on. :D
