ok was looking under the dash to find the model of the alarm that came with my car and i saw this box under there if you stick your head down near the clutch and look up behind the vents.
just wanting to know what it is and if its a part of the alarm.... i dont have enough time to rip it all apart just yet.
i think im going to have to redo the alarm anyway because there is a bonnet switch on there put i open the bonnet when the alarm is on and nothing happens, also i can open the doors with the keys and nothing happens the only way i can get the alarm to go on is by trying to start the car.
so im going to have to find out information about the alarm and see what i can do. 2 features i would like are
* getting the back door to lock with the rest of the central locking when i push the button on the alarm... instead of them being seperate
* getting it to automatically wind up the windows when i turn the alarm on... theres gotta be some way to do it with a relay or something. need to investigate further.

Your bonnet switch problem is most likely just corrosion, they tend to get a little bit of rust on them and then don't make the contact when the bonnet is opened. Try a bit of WD-40 and then wobble it around a bit.
I've hooked up the rear tailgate to lock with my alarm, but had to unplug the centre console switch for it to work. Can't remember the exact details, but with the switch in circuit it would continually blow the fuse due to the way the switch functions.
I'm not sure if that box is part of your alarm as it looks too "factory fit", usually alarm bits stand out like dogs b-lls!
