clark rubber. you might have to cut it to the correct width. some really thick neoprene would probably do the job.

As a bit of general advice, before you try and work out another solution, ALWAYS get a price from suzuki.

Some parts are surprisingly cheap - some seals etc are actually cheaper than from an industrial supplier.

Sure, if the SGP part is ridiculous, then sure, go to an alternative, but at least you'll know.

By the time you buy the right thickness, shape it and glue it in place, it might be easier to just buy the right bit.
