Post by MQ SWB »

I'm just wondering if they are same vehicle and are parts interchangable between the two.

Cheers

Yes,

well all except badges. My drover has suzuki stickers on it anyway. have a look in your engine bay & there is two plates, 1 has the original suzuki import badge & the other is a holden badge. Both badges will have the matching engine number etc.

All the parts I have sourced are identical. I would really like to know also if there was any differerences I haven't come across yet..

What year did you pick up, k's etc?

in regards to drover and sierra front clips, the head light mounts are different, so the clips are different

Noel, all of the shoes are the same for NT Sierra's-non genuine #1627. Where a problem sometimes occurs is via the listing provided by some of the brake shoe manufacturers, they list the WT shoes for the NT and vice-versa.

Almost EVERY part is interchangeable. As mentioned ^^ grille and headlights/ buckets etc are different but can be swapped with work.

** I replaced my brake shoes a fortnight ago and between two shops there were 4 different sets of rear brake shoes for an 89 Sierra.
The shoes are all the same size but the holes for the springs etc are different sizes and in different locations. :?

I was looking at a 85 model 2 months rego $700 ono, but he had sold it before i could see it, no matter just picked up today a 1987 dual cab hilux 2.4 diesel 2.5" suspension lift motor isn't going (could be a head gasket)
new paint job and a little bit of rust for the grand total of $500 couldn't be happier.

There are a range of small trim and spec differences.

Drovers ran different springs, all soft top drovers had 1/2 doors and plastic windows, soft tops also had no tachometer and low back seats - a few things like that.

The square headlight front clip can actually be cut further to fit a bigger tyre, for what that's worth.
