lifting a bundy
hi guys i have a bundy 1985 coil 2.4 pet about to be a 3.6 v6 what is the best way to fit 35/11.5r15 under it dont want to go a big body lift and as i understand no one does a big spring for them!!!!!!! after having hiluxs all my life any info would be good { i know ill have to cut gards wich ill do if i have to } thanks
firstly SEARCH.........
put standard 80 seris front springs int he front and heavy duty standard height 80 series front springs in the back, put standard 80 series shocks in the front and 1` standard 80 series rear shock in the back and the other you will need to cut the pin off and get a good welder to weld a spare eye on and that will do the other side back. there you have about 4" of lift and will fit 25's they may rub a bit, fit rockcrawler 15x8 reverse offset rims and you will clear everything and will be a bit more stable, then add flares and mudflaps.
you may need adjustable panhards to bring everything back (i don't) and caste rwill be out a bit but still driveable. you can use 80 series caster bushes if it is a late model but most likely you will need to burn the old bushed out with an oxy and leave the outer metal ring in the arm and press the 80 series caster bushes into that.
note: i take no responsibility if you take my sugestion
