With the ozzy dollar so good at the moment im seriously considering fitting some remote reservior shocks as the toughdogs and tjm xgs really struggle doing speed events like nav runs or fast dirt rd driving in general.
I have my eye on some KING 2.0 PRE-RUNNER series smooth body shocks with remote reservior 12in travel (non coil over) which i would like to replace my existing shocks with. My rig has 6in spring lift an im prepared to lose a bit of up travel for a gain in down travel.
Ive been speaking with the dealer and based on my preference to have a firm ride in general he suggested valving the fronts at 12 over 10 and the rears at 15 over 10. This would provide firm compression and fast rebound ????
This sounds like what i need but not having any experience with these shocks I have no idea how to compare their original feel to what ive been using so am i on the right track ?????
I believe these will require some custom pin to eye converters etc to fit but have I missed anything major????
Also whats involved with changing the valving if its not the way I want it??????
Thanks in advance
Nath
