Quote to fit winch (Sydney)

Post by Badass Bundy »

Need a quote to fit winch.

Winch: 10,000lbs Ox Electric Winch

Bullbar: Unknown brand (bought with the Bundy)

Vehicle: 1985 Toyota Bundera

Note: I have a dual battery system that I wish to be hooked up to.

Reason: Im hopeless with electrics.

TJM Quote: $250 if straight forward job.
ARB Quote: $88 per hour (believe 3 hour job totalling $264)

Has anyone got any suggestions for any other places for quotes in Sydney?

Cheers

I reckon bolt it in yourself cause it is very easy to do....

There is only really a positive and a negative cable that needs to be connected to the main battery not the secondary as you want to be running it off the battery that gets the main charge from the alternator to help a little when winching.

If the power cables aren't long enough go to an auto elec and get him to make a couple new cables for you.

Don't pay if you don't need to.....it really is very easy.

Mate where are you located? For a small fee of a case of booze, if you're close to my place, I could give you a hand and guidance fitting it, good for you to learn yourself how it goes in and works for when you're stuck and it won't work.

They are very easy to fit, the cabling is the only hard part (not that you would call it hard). Is it brand new? Do you have any cabling with the winch?

is it a winch bar ? is it straight (not bent) ? does it fit in the bar ? do the holes line up with the winch ?
These are all variants to the question of how much a winch costs to fit ,if you answered yes to all the questions above it is about a hours jof if not the skys the limit time wise.
