Missing factory air box - options?

Post by jop »

my paj is missing the factory air box, it has a k&n cone straight off 6" outlet from airflow meter?

i managed to destroy the k&n with an errant blast from my high pressure spray.

i have tried to find a factory air box at the wreckers so i can fit a snorkel, but no luck.
k$n do make an induction box that would be great - the apollo, its about $210

any advice?

i have ordered a new k&n for now -$120, 3" inlet -$39 :bad-words:

You could just fab up a new airbox out of some sheet aluminium, pop rivet or screw it together and seal it up from the inside (looks neater) with some sikaflex or silicone. Then you get to keep the K&N and fit the snorkel too.

Without it, most of the cars around my place would still be in bits!
