i sometimes think that the expensive drawer options would had more weight to. this is more of a feeling i have rather than actually measuring drawers versus shelf + boxes

I reckon the shelf + boxes + carpet + mounting hardware weight in under 15kg, maybe under 10. Far less than the Cargo barrier.
