I'd say high 20's to low 30's. All the accessories will save you from buying them, but unfortunately for the seller they do not necessarily add value to the car.

Infact, if you're a good enough salesman you can crunch him down by suggesting that the car has obviously done hard offroad kays, will cause you insurance and engineering hassles due to lift, etc.etc., and is therefore worth less.

It's good to find out how long it's been listed for sale for and why. If he's been trying to offload it for some time and/or desperate to sell you're in with more of a shot. If the rego's nearly due that helps too. Last thing he wants is to pay $560 rego for a car he wants to sell.

got a 2001 GU ST patrol ute with extras totalling $27k in april this year for $31k

had 138kms on it.

always thought utes were generally worth a bit more....so based on that and if its from a dealer i would estimate no more than $25k. but just reading on this thread its amazing the difference people are paying. depends on location too.

There is a dealer in Melb sitting on a 2000 GU 4.2 and asking $36,000 :?

Redbook has them valued at $25,000 and the max I could get agreed value insured for was $25,900

he knows there are none round, and you can pretty much get agreed value to almost any amount if you pay enough

Hey bogged, what year is that TD6 I am looking at a pretty new 4.2 at the moment but if it is local might be worth a look.

Also if anyone is interested I found a brand new DX wagon 4.2lt 2006 plated at a nissan dealer never registered. Would have to be the last one available new I guess.

late 03, but sold to someone else on this board on Monday.. picks it up Friday... judging by other prices going round here, he got the bargain of the year.

Sorry to jump on your thread but I am also looing at a new 4.2TD It is a 2006 with 4000klms on it (not a misprint, 4000) I am hoping to get it for around 55K it has steel bullbar towbar IPF lights and wind deflectors etc. It is pretty pricy but I'm thinking not bad for basically brand new. Any comments

prices of 4.2s will hold their own, specially if the Ruff Rumour of the patrol being dropped from range is true....

There was a loaded one on ebay for $70k but think the bloke was beating off at a round 35,000 SPM.

They are becoming hard to find.
