Boost Adjustment NH 2.5 tdi

Post by burtbunch »

Hi all,

I have done a search but can't find anything specific to my needs so here goes.

I have heard of a manual in car boost controller that is connected via a "T" piece off the wastegate or something like this. Does anyone have any instructions, photos, links that might help me out. I want to be able to adjust the boost depending on on or off road driving. towing etc. At the moment the turbo is spooling and doesn't really start to surge until around 2k rpm. I have heard that the hiclones can help the boost come in around 500 rpm earlier but I need the control to actually change the amount of boost.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Burty

don't threads mentioning hiclones get locked? Personally I don't see how it could help the boost come on earlier.

Why would they be locked? The theory is that it helps the impeller to start spinning therefore bringing boost in earlier.

maybe it is 4WDmonthly the get locked, cause they always end in heaps of crap being put on them.
