Removing gas system

Post by Froon »

After sitting in my work car park for 4 hours this afternoon looking for the electrical problem that was preventing my GQ from having fuel/LPG sent to the engine, I'm almost at the point where I'm wanting to remove the LPG system from the truck...

Is this a complicated process to follow? I'd like to remove the LPG system completely and go full time petrol.

If you got dual fuel, there is no need to remove it. Just turn the tank valve off. Go to a gas place if you have probs, it probably wont cost that much and if it costs $500 to fix, then you will get that back. There are heaps of places, so get a few opinions and tell us where you are near and we could possibly tell of a good place.

Thanks mate... I've been to a bloke in Wentworthville that was recommended to me by a bloke who did some other work on the Patrol (and the cruiser in future).. He did as much as get it running on petrol, which is all fine and dandy, except now it runs like rubbish on both LPG and Petrol.

Any solid recommendations for someone in the Parramatta area?

Ok, now I know what country your in, I can advise your going to have to go away from Yuppimatta and head out to Sunnyholt Rd Blacktown.

3 excellent places out there, first call is the old Chinese guy behind the Harley dealer. Second is Goff and Son, G.A.S., in the unit at the end of Romford Rd, that runs off Tattersal. Third is a place in the units behind Top Tyres and Better Brakes.

I have been to the chinese guy, he let me help and G.A.S.
