no clutch (delete)

just finished putting in a new 2l engine into my hilux went to move it and ive got no clutch
what could it be?

sorry for being a smart arse but might need some more info.
Like how about telling us what you have checked so far? Did you disconnect any of the clutch hydraulics during the swap? If so did you bleed the system? Is there even any fluid in the clutch resevoir? Does the push rod on the slave move when you push the clutch? etc.

I know, it's written in front of me - "no clutch"
Sounds like you may have install the clutch then.
Seriously, you mave have lost all fluid from the system as the slave was removed from it's mount on the b/housing. It probably dripped out.

there is fluid in it. going to go out n check it soon...just remembered before that the pedel stuffed up before the engine died did a dodgey fix at work to get us home and never properly fixed it so its prob that..will post up if i fix it or not.

I dimly recall working on my Ford Zephyr 45 years ago, I put the clutch in the wrong way, the front was at the back type of thing, could this be the problem or with new clutches are both sides are the same?

Yep the friction surface is the same. The problem is the clutch plate springs hit the crank bolts now days. Sounds like the gear box is broken when the clutch is not engaged.
