Weight of MK 5spd? (no transfer case)

Post by patrol_mollongghip »

Any ideas - I've had a look around in the forum and can't find a figure without transfer case - trying to freight one from Qld to Ballarat. Just need a real weight to get a quote.

It is the 5spd and has the transfer off,
Really appreciate the help

Can't say for sure, i can pick up a 5spd bellhousing and transfer case (with oil) on my own and i'd guess it'd be around the 100kg mark, so i'd have to say that the box alone would be about 60 max...

Thanks for the replies.. got bloody heavy on my own -- that;s just general g'box info .. hard that th box & transfer was about 135kg so thought might be about 70-75kg for the g'box so..at least I know have a better idea..
