mine keepspopping out of low 4 and is sometimes hard to shift. i recently took zook off the road for a minor rebuild and the fluid in the case was frothy and a nasty milky color. I just picked up a few spares for a stupidly low price and one of the two 1ltr cases has the 4x4 switch. :D :D

i got a good deal

if anyone in melb area needs a windscreen frame or the targa bars let me know and ill pass on a mob number for someone that has these items cheap.

If its a grey sorta colour it just means water got in and mixed with the oil, which is bad but not catastrophic. If the oil was burnt, that would be very bad. But it sounds like you may just need a breather in the transfer and a shifter bush. You may need a rebuild, but the bush's are so cheap its worth replacing before you do anything drastic.

i bought replacement shifter bushes off ebay and i can not get them to fit.

but the spare t/cases i got are in perfect cond so i might just swap one of them in.

Now if only i could fins a new gearbox as the one i got is crunchier than a box of coco pops.

2x 1ltr cases , a drivers door, a reco brake booster and master cly and a few odds and sods for under $100 is a good deal i reckon

A good condition shift light case is worth about $400 retail.
