You have to find someone who needs the parts to get decent money.

Hey J-top,

I'd only throw out parts that were totally unusable and sell whatever you can off your wreck. I did this to a 1L zook I bought and made over $1000 off it in parts to spend on my modded zook. As long as you're prepared to do the '4 sale' thing, ie listing ads everywhere, Ebaying etc and also the time it takes to strip your vehicle it can be worth your while.

Here is a list of parts & prices that I got. Some are odd numbers as I'd deducted seller fees on the Ebay parts I sold. For further references you can browse other peoples ads & see what they're asking for zook parts as well, which I also did. Of course, depending on the condition of your zooks parts will determine the prices you'll get!

83 Model Sierra NT

Muffler & Heat shield, $20.00
Dash, Airbox $50.00
Steering Wheel, Spare wheel carrier $50.00
Passenger Side Window Winder & Handle $15.00
All Drive Shafts $100.00
Windscreen $80.00
Drivers Side Mirror $10.00
Drivers Side Window Winder & Handle $15.00
Passenger Side Door Handle $10.00
Floor Vinyl $20.00
Maruti 1ltr Motor & 4 Spd Gearbox $350.00
Front Doors x2 (very average condition) $30.00
Radiator $74.42
Rear Bench Seat $28.87
1Ltr Carby $53.16
Tow Bar $44.51
New Clutch Disc $37.15
Rubber Flares $18.44
Complete Axle Assembly F&R inc all Steering $250.00
Seat Levers $4.24
Complete Heater Assembly $18.92
Light & Indicator Assembly $26.84
Centre Dash Console $20.00
1L Transfer Case $100.00
Fuel Tank $60.00

Other parts I either kept for myself or I still have them for selling later.

Hope this helps!

Cheers, ZukChiK

only problem i have is space to keep them till sold.
i have the side of the house i can use for things that can be left outside but things that cant get wet etc... have to go in the garage.

thats a good list of things you have sold, hopefully i can do the same when i strip mine

I usually place a blanket or two on the bonnet and then sit between the seats (with handbrake OFF) and put one foot flat on each top corner of the screen and push it out. Have done it in heaps of different cars and only ever broken one screen that was sikaflexed in.

Just digging up an old thread. Sorry mods, it'll end up in the for sale section when I'm selling I promise. I'm still driving this car.

I'm going to part out my hardtop soon and have people asking me about a few bits. I have no idea what to expect dollar wise.

1.3L transfer with Trailgear 6.5s.
Front and rear WT diffs, both with lockrights.
31in GT radial MTs 90% on 15x7 sunnys
Alloy bull bar, not sure what brand it is.
How long's a piece of string?

I'll save a few small bits like snake racing driveshaft spacers, 4xARB rear leaf packs, RTC damper etc to try and get a few dollars but most of the car will get sent to the tip as the motor and body are pretty tired and sadly I don't have room for it at the unit.

Hey Buddy,

Are the doors fairly straight, with minimal rust?
