Its a Z9 filter, any reputable brand will work i.e Ryco, Toyota etc. I think the 2L takes about 6.5L of oil off the top of my head, but you should be able to find the exact capacity on the net or look up a lube guide at the parts shop.

Yeah Z9 is the go, I use Ryco, haven't had any problems.

My 2.8 3L takes a little bit over 5 litres with an empty filter (the book says it should take 5.8) so yours should be about the same.

When I change my filter, sometimes the thread that it spins on also comes out so I have to put that back into the filter housing before I put the actual filter on. I only ever do the filter up hand tight (but as tight as I can get it) and put a smear of oil on the gasket beforehand. None of them have ever leaked after that.

Maybe yours was too loose or too tight?

I used to use the V01 filters on my old lux and never had a problem.Did you smear a little oil on the rubber seal .Also did you make sure the old seal came out with the old filter,as the 2 seals could be the reason why its leaking.

5Litres of oil should have it close enough to full not to worry about. I used to get 4 oil changes out of a 20L drum of RimulaX

Dont forget to put some oil in the filter before fitting it.
Helps with bringing up oil pressure quickly.

I usually fill it, let it soak for a min, then top up, sit for a bit, then top up and let it soak, then fit with a light smear of oil on the seal.

Dont forget to wipe away the sealing surface on the oil cooler area too, it cleans it, and makes sure you dont leave an old seal on it ;)
