Help with Hilux Suspension

Hello Everyone,
I have a 93 model Dual Cab Hilux with 33" tyres and a lift kit, but I am not sure of the height of the lift, how do I go about finding out what size the the lift is? And also the suspension is very stiff, what can I do to make it a softer or more comfortable ride?

Buy a Commodore wagon or strap 300Kgs to the back of the ute!

If you cant do either of those 2 things, then let your tyre pressure down to about 30 PSI. Not recommended, as tyre wear will be on the outside of the tread.

Other option is to reset your rear springs. Probably what you wanted to hear. You can get real soft one with longer shackles, but they are not much good for carting a heavy load.

You can go the expensive way and coil the rear. I run parabolics up front and they provide a smooth ride and I've heard you can have them in the rear as well. A lot of people i talk to have efs rear leafs and they provide a lot of flex and still able to carry load.

As v6hilux said, another option is to get someone to reset your rears by taking out a couple of the bottom load bearing leafs. I am in the process of doing this as I have a seven pack leaf in the rear and it is bumpy as hell empty!

You can run a longer set of leaf spring. They would give you a smoother ride, a good load capacity and flex. But you would have to do some cutting and welding to fit them.

just pull a few leafs out here and there.. prolly lose bout 30mm in hieght but if it means that better ride?

Also probably loose a few 100 KG of load capacity too. It depends on what he want to use his ute for.
Also pulling leaves can lessen the packs resistance to axle wrap. Im not saying dont pull leaves, but take everything into consideration before getting the tools out.
