gidday guys

is there any difference between say at 82 model power steering box from a live axle truck and a 86 model box from a live axle truck?

DO they interchange?

Is it petrol two petrol or Diesel two diesel or you want to put a diesel on a petrol or the other way around...??

thanks guys

they interchange as a complete unit, but i have found that the housing is not the same nor is the length of the complete installed box on the later models

the extension housing is longer on the later model boxes, but it looks like the later boxes have 2 pressure lines going to the piston instead of 1 like the early boxes. may mean more pressure,power?
