as the title said i have just put an injected 5 litre V8 with Xr8 injection it goes well oops went well took it for a run up the sand dune next to my works car park and wow 35 psi and up we went like never before i turned around and drove back down took it out of 4x4 and now its growling from the transfer case.
If put tansfer in neutral and run through the gears no noises if im moving i have noises a horrible grinding noise goes away on acceleration, happens even if rolling in neutral and man is it loud i thought at first the tail shaft was rubbing on my out of town long range tank but it is not.
The other thing is oil was running out of the transfercase about 30 minutes and it was empty now im gunna do some exploratry surgery and remove rear tailshaft and start pulling apart the tranfer in place will put it up on the hoist so its easy to get at .
now has any one had similar probs and can any one offer advice

problems
hi all have found problem had slotted holes in gear box cross member to allow gear box to clear long range tank as we had to centre the V8 for clearance the bolt that mounts fyuel tank is just touching rear outpput flange making bad noise easy to see now its on hoist 3 things to fix put tank mounting bolt in other way so excess thread is away recntre box and weld up the end of the hole so i does not slide back and raise engine mount slightly to allow rear of box to come down
