40 series Bell Crank?

Post by RUFF »

Anyone know where to buy one of these new or a kit to repair it? For those that dont know what the bell Crank is its the part of the steering that bolts into the corner of the frame out front between the steering box and the diff.

This allready has factory power steer so i dont need to convert it to 60 series steering as yet.

Allso i need the Rag joint btween the steering column and the steering box if anyone knows where i can buy a new one of these as well.

Preferably after market.

I just found a kit for the bell crank on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-LANDCRUIS ... dZViewItem

Anyone know of anywhere in Brisbane selling this kit?

I personally think you are wasting your time, but..

Pretty sure Repco do it in a Maxi Trac brand.

IDLER KIT-STEERING - Part No: 040-001128
Retail: $83.99
Trade: a touch cheaper than the ebay price.

Dont know about getting the rag joint aftermarket though, pretty sure its genuine only. I should have a decent second hand one here off my old column if you want it.

Roothy got his steering stuff refreshed in the latest 4wdm mag and mentioned the aftermarket rag joint (terrain tamer i think) so i reckon you could get that from sunshine state 4wd too.. nfi about cost tho.. but anythings gotta be cheaper than genuine eh :)

Just the kit.

They also do 2 different types. One from Taiwan = $65.00 and one from Japan = $105.00. I dont plan on running this set up for long so bought the cheaper one.
