just a question, how does LPG go on a supercharged engine.
it will be a 1uzfe with a eaton top mount style supercharger with gas research throttle body. is there any drama with having the LPG drawn through the supercharger.
it will be a similar setup to the supercharged V6 commodore but on a V8.
thanks
steve

It can be done I've done it before with Eaton and GM P.D. blowers as well as Vortech and similar centrifical blowers.
LPG octane rating suffers badly with high intake air temps, unfortunatly P.D. blowers generally create high intake air temps and this reduces the ability of LPG to resist knock. As a result you usualy have to run less than optimum timing. An aftercooler will be of use. Make sure the blower is a reasonable size so its not rotating at maxiumum speed as high rotational speed reduces efficiency and raises outlet temps.

Joel

thanks.
i was looking at the eaton m112, running about 5psi boost.
Would running water/methanol injection be of any real use, or should i look into running a intercooler between the blower and manifold.
thanks

A friend of mine has an EB XR8 falcon with twin gas research carby's (dual fuel) and a Capa centrifugal supercharger. Took a while and two explosions to get it all sorted but it hammers now.. So yes, it is possible.
He did it the hard way and did it all himself (at quite a cost) but if I were you I'd talk to a shop or someone who has done it and learn from them.
With Matts setup gas does not flow through the supercharger.

Not a great fan of water/methanol, its a patch for a poor combination, too much compression, engine design, intake heat. At 5psi you shouldn't be generating excessive heat with a 112, avoid the M90 on that size motor.
I did a 9 psi set up on a 4v Clevo some years ago and it worked very well with twin gasresearch carbies. That engine had 10.2:1 comp which was too much but it was already built and we used water to cure pinging with optimized timing, I'd rather see the compression be right though.
